    As 964M tried to draw the cow away 1048 waits for an opening to grab the carcass.

    The cow licked the dead calf attempting to arouse it. The Wolves awaited a meal.

    Raven in the lower left has been chased off the carcass. Coyote at the top is watching carefully as the two wolves approach the carcass. A Coyote has drawn the cow way off to the left.

    April 29 ,2017 Across from Dorothy's. The grey 964M of the Prospect Pack and the black 1048M of the Junction Butte Pack try to take the still born Bison calf...under the cow.

    This is .5 miles away. 964 is further away than he appears in the image. 1048 is just behind the cows head on the right. Patience is a by-word among wolves.

    The carcass must have been a challenge to drag off because these to clowns were having a real problem deciding to either eat on the run or drag the carcass off...it was an interesting scene as they tried to figure out how to secure the carcass.

    The Bison Cow is really hopping mad and chases the wolves off...once again. The carcass is just at her feet.

    964 and 1048 sprint to the carcass as a Coyote has drawn the Bison Cow way off to the left.

    Each wolf took turns drawing the cow away from the carcass...was this intentional or opportunistic. ?
